3D Topographical Map Display
In 2024, a full site LIDAR scan was completed of the Pinson Mounds site. The Friends goal is to convert this LIDAR scan into a museum quality, three-dimensional topographical map for display in the park museum.
This display will greatly enhance the understanding of the site for visitors by visually showing the scale and scope of the Prehistoric Indigenous structures within the park.

Music in the Park
The Friends group is partnering with the Jackson Symphony to provide a free concert at the Pinson Mounds State Park. The event is scheduled for June 15th and will be free to the public. A fundraising goal of $2,500 is set to put this event on. Help us achieve this goal by donating below.
